Christmas Party

£13.00 – £15.00I have some sad news for you. Yesterday [26th November] I was informed that the drummer [Barry Rees] for the Strumble Strutters has suffered a heart attack and is in hospital. Consequently we have had to cancel and postpone their attendance for our December party.
We have now confirmed that the well known West Wales band ‘The Swingin Nettles’ will be able to take over their commitment.
We continue to hope that our Party will entertain and please you. The small dance floor will be cleared – should you wish to avail yourself.
THE SWINGIN NETTLES
The Swingin Nettles are a Gypsy Jazz band from south Pembrokeshire playing in the style of greats such as Stephane Grapelli and Django Rheinhardt.
They are Robbie Godwin (violin, guitar, vocals), Vince Pereczes (guitar vocals), Jerome Duffell (guitar, vocals), David Griffiths (double bass), and Tegid Roberts (clarinet, guitar, vocals). All are veterans of other local bands – Robbie was recently seen performing at Tomos Newman’s album launch in Manorbier and David is also a member of Shanty Le Hara who launched their album a week or so ago in Pembroke.
All songs are taken from the band’s new 12 track album and are classic covers except All Human Beings which was written by Vince.
